Number Sense & Spatial Sense	Reading and writing numbers to 100, 000,000 Place value to 100,000,000 Expressing numbers in standard and expanded form Four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using 2, 3, and 4 digit numbers Comparing and ordering whole numbers Special Types of numbers (odd/even, prime/composite) Rounding off whole numbers Order of operations Working with fractions- proper, improper, and mixed numbers HCF (Highest Common Factor) LCM (Lowest Common Multiple) Four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using fractions Fractions and decimals Place value system of decimals Rounding decimal numbers off Four operations( addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using decimals Introduction to the integer number system Number lines using integers Comparing and ordering integers Four operations( addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) using integers- both positive and negative Introduction to exponents and their components Working with exponents Four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using exponents Review the order of operations (BEDMAS) Introduction to percentage Working with percentages Introduction to ratio and proportion Working with ratios and proportions
Measurement	Review the concept of perimeter and how to calculate perimeter of regular & irregular shaped polygons and/or composite figure polygons Calculating the missing dimensions of a perimeter measurement question when given the perimeter and some of the other dimensions Review the concept of area and to calculate area of various polygons Calculating the missing dimension of an area measurement question when given the area and some of the other dimensions Review the concept of volume and how to calculate the volume of rectangular prisms Calculating the missing dimension of a volume measurement question when given the volume and some of the other dimensions
Geometry & Spatial Sense	The various classifications of angles Special angle relationships that are formed by the intersection and/or bisection of the various lines The various classifications of polygons Comparing geometric shapes and/or polygons –congruent and symmetrical Transformational geometry and the main concepts related to it The Cartesian plane Plotting coordinate in all the four quadrants of the Cartesian plane Tiling patterns
Patterning and Algebra	The mathematical relationships that exist in number patterns Analyzing number patterns and identify their “patterning” rules Creating number patterns The main concepts of algebra – variables, algebraic expressions, equations an inequalities Solving simple equations and inequalities using the four basic mathematical operations Reading and writing algebraic equations Graphing solutions on a number line
Data Management & Probability	The concepts of data and statistics Graphing – the various types of graphs are and what their uses are Interpreting the information on a graph The concept of probability Discussing experimental and theoretical probability Calculating what the probability of an event will be
Problem Solving	The rationale for problem solving and the important role it plays in everyday life The processes required to solve problems The various strategies that can be used to solve problems- depending upon the type of problem you are challenged with
